Donna Louise Snider

Donna Louise Snider, 85, of Council Grove, Kansas passed away on Wednesday, May 29^th, 2024 at Diversicare of Council Grove. Donna was born on July 22^nd, 1938 to Lloyd and Hazel Read. She was raised on a farm near Alta Vista, Kansas. Donna graduated Council Grove High School in 1956 where she met her future husband, Ralph Snider. Ralph and Donna were married on June 1^st, 1958, and enjoyed 64 years of marriage. Donna worked at Varney’s Book Store in Manhattan while Ralph attended Kansas State University. After establishing residence in Council Grove, through the years Donna was a homemaker, bookkeeper for Snider Motor Company and Snider Auto Parts, organized and led the local chapter of Job’s Daughters, and was a real estate agent. Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Hazel Read; stepfather Cecil Kendle; brothers Don Read and Steve Read; husband Ralph Snider; and daughter Elizabeth Racine Rens. She is survived by her son, Ryan Snider; six grandchildren, Sidney Rens, Derrick Rens, Emily Rens, Abigail Rens, Carlye Snider and Zachary Snider; two great-grandchildren, Harrison Kuhlman and Jasiah Jeter. Family graveside services will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Council Grove
