Lane Ross Washburn, age 8 went to be with Jesus on October 19, 2023. He was born August 7, 2015, in Emporia, Kansas, to Thelma Parnell and Dulan Washburn, Jr.
He was raised by his Aunt Taylor Rohloff and Grandma Angie Rohloff. He lived in Wilsey until August, when they moved to Junction City, to attend school at Spring Valley Elementary. He was in the third grade.
Lane loved his family and his pets. He was a loving, caring, strong-willed little guy, who was a great negotiator. He also loved fishing, video games, riding his bike, doing tricks on the trampoline, swimming, and playing hide and seek with his Aunt Tay Tay and Grandma Angi.
He is preceded in death by his Nana Lynell Kinish, Aunt Rose Kinish, Grandpa Dulan Washburn, Sr., Uncle John Kinish, and Great Grandma Mary Hall.
Lane will continue to live on through his Grandma Angie Rohloff, buddy Jeff Rohloff, Aunt Taylor Rohloff, Father Dulan Washburn, Jr., Mother Thelma Parnell, Uncle’s Thomas Washburn and Zach Rohloff, and many other family members and friends.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5-6 pm, Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at Sawyer Funeral Chapel. A Celebration of Lane’s Life will be held at 2:00pm, Thursday, October 26 at the Wilsey Christian Church with burial following at Wilsey Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in Memory of Lane and his Nana Lynell, may be made to Wilsey Christian Church and sent in care of Sawyer Funeral Home, PO Box 273, Council Grove, KS 66846
