Patrick M. Towle
Patrick Micheal Towle, 82, was born on October 8, 1941, to Maurice and Francis-Brandon Towle. He passed from this life on April 30, 2024 at the Colmery-O'Neal VA Medical Center in Topeka. Patrick was a dual citizen of the US and of Ireland, his homeland. He had a brother, also deceased, who resided in Kansas City. Survived by two children, Travis E. Towle and Melba McFadden, who both live in Kansas. He was born & raised as a Catholic.
Patrick had many jobs over his lifetime and went to many exotic places. One of his jobs was in Navy Intelligence where he received an award from Admiral Harry D. Felt, the Commander in Chief, U.S. Pacific Command on May 16, 1963. Towle was part of the team that tested atomic bombs which later caused many heath issues. Other jobs he had during his lifetime included working in human resources at Saint Francis Hospital, John Hopkins hospital, Falley's / Food 4 Less, and working on the Shawnee County Sheriff's Posse.
One of his passions in life was sailing. Specifically racing C Scows. He was Commodore for several years at the Shawnee Yacht Club, and others around the country. Sailing was a peaceful pleasure that he pursued fervently. Patrick also enjoyed horses and Australian tack.
His unique life led his children to be who they are today- Strong and confident.
Patrick is survived by his daughter Melba McFadden, son in law, Robert McFadden, grandson, Mordecai; Son, Travis E. Towle, daughter in law, Rochel Towle, grandson Teric.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Shawnee Yacht Club, 3724 SE Yacht Ct, Topeka, KS 66605, from 10:30am - 3:00pm., on Friday, June 7, 2024. Afterwords the family and friends will meet at 301 SW Yorkshire, Topeka, Kansas for wine, beer, whiskey, dinner and a fun social gathering.
