Paula Jean Lawrence

Paula J. Lawrence, age 69 of Council Grove, Kansas, passed away October 31, 2021, at Diversicare of Council Grove. She was born February 12, 1952, the daughter of Leslie and Arlene (Sisson) Fuqua.

Paula graduated from Chase County High School in 1971. She married Ronald Lawrence on February 14, 1982, in Council Grove. She attended Council Grove Christian Church. Paula worked for several restaurants throughout the years. She worked at Sonic for 26 years, until her health started failing and had to quit. She enjoyed reading, word search puzzles, and loved spending time with Ron and her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers: Frank, Richard, Leslie and Eugene Fuqua. Paula is survived by her husband Ron; sister Theresa Tannahil, of Emporia; and several nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held later. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 1861 N. Rock Road # 380, Wichita, Kansas 67206.
