Ralph Dean Reveal

Ralph Dean Reveal, 87, lifetime resident of Alta Vista, passed away March 11, 2024, at Morris County Hospital.  He was born in the home he resided in his entire life, to Clarence and Mildred (Day) Reveal.

He graduated Alta Vista High School in 1954. He married Melba Carson on June 5, 1955, at the Council Grove Christian Church. They had two children: Ed and Barbara. 

Ralph and Melba were members of the Council Grove Square Dance Club for 35 years, as well as the Camping Squares of Kansas for 10 years. Ralph also participated in Voices of the Wind.

Ralph was a farmer, growing wheat, grain and soybeans. He later was a dairy and hog farmer.  He enjoyed woodworking, dancing and visiting family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Edgar Reveal and Chancy Reveal; sister Roberta Narsico; and great grandson Derek.

Ralph is survived by his wife Melba; son Ed Reveal, both of the home; daughter Barbara Collins (David), of Corpus Christi, TX; 3 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; cousins, nieces and nephews.

A visitation for family and friends will be held Monday, March 18^th, from 5 – 6:30, at Sawyer Funeral Home. A private burial will be held later at Alta Vista Cemetery.
